Photographs by Harry Barnett

Harry Barnett was a professional photographer from 1960 until his death in 2000. In that 40 years, he documented most significant events and sights in the Parkersburg and West Virginia area for the benefit of generations to follow. As an avid space program proponent, Harry and his good friend Dave Ferrell, himself a noted local photographer, made numerous trips to the Kennedy Space Center to photograph significant launches in the Apollo and Shuttle programs. Later in his career, he specialized in aerial photography and his work can still be seen in municipal buildings and businesses in the Parkersburg area.
