This exquisite 1873 painting by local artist Theodore H. Winchester (1842-1883) depicts a scenic Ohio River view as seen from Fort Boreman Hill. It is believed to be the first artistic representation of the newly-created Baltimore & Ohio Railroad bridge.

Henry P. Fischer of Marietta, Ohio, produced a series of real photo Parkersburg postcards starting in 1906. He produced several variations of this card where he superimposed storm clouds (like this one) or the Wright Brother's Airplane.

Postmarked June of 1908, this printed postcard was produced by C. E. Wheelock & Co. of Peoria Illinois. It is card number 80 in their series of American Cities.
